Wondering what could be a great blogging gift? I get it – if you aren’t familiar with blogging, you may be looking for gift ideas for the blogger in your life.

In this post, I’ll give you a list including the best gifts for bloggers as well as fun subtle questions you can ask the blogger in your life to make their life easier (and to find a practical blogging gift that suits their current needs).

Before we start, let’s see what the blogger in your life could be needing.

Blogging comes with a lot of tasks. Every blogger will love and hate some of these tasks. To avoid wasting time on things we don’t like, we tend to automate some of these boring tasks.

Knowing what the blogger in your life like or dislike could help you find the right automation tools that suit their current needs.

You can provide support by helping them improve their current gear, or making their workspace too.

Without further ado, let’s take a look at fun subtle ways to come up with gift ideas for bloggers. Not only these will show that you support them, but it will also give you a good opportunity to learn more about their blogging goals.

  • What do you think of your current work setup?
  • Are there ways to automate some of your tasks? Which tools do you currently use?
  • Have you considered taking a blogging course?
  • Is there anything you need help with?
  • What would make your blog better? Help you take your blog to the next level?

Now, that you may know a bit more about their needs, take a look at these practical gift ideas for bloggers. These are all things I pay/paid for, or I wish someone would have given me over the years.

blogging gifts

Laptop

The most important tool for the blogger in your life is a laptop. Do they have a powerful laptop? Do they need a little upgrade? While many people seem to think blogging is all about writing, it’s not.

It’s about creating graphics, editing photos, and more. You can take a look at this list of best laptops for bloggers if you think a laptop upgrade is a good idea.

Extra Monitor or External Portable Screen

One of the best investments I’ve done over the years was to purchase a second screen. My laptop is simply too small and having two screens improve my productivity. It was a big upgrade for my working setup.

I personally opted for Asus Zenscreen which is portable. It was an excellent choice since I tend to be nomadic and work from coworking spaces. Although, if the blogger in your life is working from an office at home, they may be happier with an external monitor.

Laptop Stand

When you stare at your laptop for hours daily, it can impact your posture. Using a laptop stand is a great way to work in a more comfortable position without hurting your posture.

Many digital nomads, bloggers, and laptop workers are using a laptop stand. You can take a look at this list of best portable laptop stands to help you pick one.

Ergonomic Computer Chair

Another great way to improve posture is by choosing an ergonomic computer chair. Working from a wooden chair, or a stool isn’t ideal. Comfort will influence productivity and will increase the quality of the work.

It’s easy to understand – when you feel comfortable, you can work for longer hours without having to take too many breaks.

Sound-Canceling Headphones

Another blogging essential would be sound-canceling headphones. It helps with concentration, productivity, and creativity. Since I bought my own sound-canceling headphones, I can’t write without them anymore.

The blogger in your life won’t be distracted with ambient sounds, yourself, or kids, ha!

Ergonomic Bluetooth Mouse

Having a comfortable mouse is also a great thing to get when you spend hours on your computer. I personally chose Logitech MX Master 3 which is a wireless, Bluetooth, ergonomic mouse.

I also picked a mouse pad to feel even more comfortable. I can recommend this one.

External Wireless Keyboard

If the blogger in your life isn’t a fan of laptop keyboards, you could give them an external wireless keyboard. This is a necessity when you have a laptop stand, but also a great option if you feel more comfortable typing from a bigger keyboard.

I recommend Mx Keys Wireless by Logitech. You can also get the MX Palm Rest that adds a bit of comfort to your palms and wrists.

Photography Gear

Blogging isn’t necessarily just about writing. To create good content, the blogger needs to add some high-quality photos and/or videos. While photography gear can be pricy, there might be a way to help!

Does the blogger in your life have a phone with a high-quality camera such as Pixel 4? Does he have editing software such as Lightroom or Photoshop?

Does he have a tripod, a ring light, a microphone, or the right lens? You can help them increase their current gear by noticing what’s missing, or what could help them improve the quality of their current equipment.

Stock Photo Membership

On the other hand, some bloggers aren’t into photography, and they may prefer to opt for a stock photo membership such as Shutterstock or Canva Pro.

I personally prefer the latter because it allows me to create cool graphics for social media too.

Tailwind Membership

If the blogger in your life needs to save time on channels like Pinterest, a membership with Tailwind could be great.

Tailwind is an automation tool that allows you to save and schedule pins (Pinterest helps you generate more views on your blog).

This tool is popular in the blogging industry and I pay for it myself.

If Pinterest is not part of their blogging strategy, you may want to take a look at automation tools such as Planoly or Later which specialize in Instagram.

WP-Rocket

WP-Rocket is a paid plugin that helps bloggers speed up their websites.

In my opinion, it’s an essential tool for professional bloggers, but this won’t work on every blog, so you may need to make sure it suits the blog of the blogger you wish to impress.

SEO from Scratch Course

SEO from Scratch is an online course I created with my partner. We are both SEO experts so we created a course specifically designed for bloggers who want to get more views by optimizing their content for Google.

If the blogger in your life has an interest in SEO and wants to learn how to increase their blog traffic, it would be a fantastic idea.

While SEO might not be necessary for them at this point, you could also take a look at the online courses available on Udemy to see what could suit their current needs.

Keyword Research Tool

One of the best investments when it comes to blogging is to get a paid tool to find keywords. While you must know how SEO works to find keywords efficiently, some bloggers pay for keyword tools (I do!).

It’s an excellent investment since it helps you find keyword opportunities that bring more views. I personally use Keysearch.

Journal or Planner

Bloggers have so many things to do. They come up with blog post ideas, they write blog posts, they edit their blog posts, they promote their blog posts… and so on.

There are to-do lists everywhere and they truly never end. Having a journal, a planner, or any organization tools is helpful.

Hosting Plan

Finally, one of the biggest expenses for bloggers is their hosting plan. Simply offering to pay their hosting plan for a year or two would be a wonderful gift idea. It’s an excellent way to show your support to the blogger in your life.

If they already have their hosting plan, you could also suggest helping them choose a theme (design) for their site. I personally recommend using Divi by Elegant Themes

Final Thoughts on Gifts For Bloggers

As you can see, there are several tools, memberships, or ways to help the blogger in your life. Showing your support will be appreciated.

Blogging is a lot of work and having the right work setup, the right gear, or the right tools will massively make a difference in daily life.

I hope you got some great gift ideas for bloggers within this list. At the end of the way, listen to the blogger’s needs. Ask them the questions mentioned above to identify their biggest needs.
